Music Magic Shop, ovvero quando la musica diventa quel luogo magico dove trovare conforto, e quando tre semplici parole racchiudono un universo dentro uno scrigno.
C’è un viaggio attraverso il sentiero dell’anima, ci sono le emozioni che viviamo.
C’è la scoperta della profondità, ma anche di quella leggerezza che fa bene al cuore.
C’è soprattutto la sicurezza che, nel momento in cui varchi quella porta, entri in un luogo dove qualcuno ti tende la mano, e non sei più solo.
Ho (ri)trovato i BTS quando ne ho avuto più bisogno, e hanno mantenuto la promessa di accompagnarmi nella ricerca della serenità.

Premetto che sono appassionata di musica, senza essere esperta: vado più a istinto ed emozioni.
Premetto che adoro la danza, e che l’età non mi ferma dal buttarmi su qualunque pista da ballo.
Premetto che sono attratta da qualunque forma di arte, perché ritengo sia la migliore manifestazione della sensibilità dell’animo umano. Premetto che sono rapita dal simbolismo, perché sfida l’immaginazione e mi spinge ad oltrepassare i miei limiti.
Premetto che sono una convinta sostenitrice della solidarietà, della compassione e dell’empatia.
L’ultima premessa, e forse la più rilevante, è che, nell’ultimo anno, sono stata colpita da uno tsunami emotivo che mi ha causato un immenso dolore, un totale smarrimento, e mille dubbi sul senso dell’impegno e del sacrificio.
Ho barcollato per un bel po’, non sapendo a cosa aggrapparmi. Una sera, mentre ascoltavo una delle canzoni della mia solita playlist, qualcosa è scattato. Si tratta di una canzone in coreano cantata da un gruppo che seguo da anni. Conoscevo già il significato di quel testo, come quello di quasi tutte le loro canzoni. Sapevo anche che non erano solo cantanti, ma artisti a tutto tondo. Non è forse vero che siamo recettivi solo quando siamo pronti? Io, quella sera, lo ero. Ho (ri) trovato i BTS.

Ho provato il desiderio e il bisogno di andare più a fondo sul significato di quei versi. Ho cominciato a leggere articolo su articolo e mi sono ritrovata in un mondo quasi surreale. Pur non essendo del tutto sorpresa – sapevo che i BTS rappresentavano un mondo a parte nel panorama musicale – non ero preparata a quello che stavo scoprendo e avrei scoperto in seguito.
“Sette ragazzi normali che vengono dalla Corea del Sud”. Così amano presentarsi, in qualunque occasione. Sette ragazzi che hanno iniziato dallo scalino più basso dell’industria e raggiunto vette che nessuno osava immaginare.
Sette ragazzi che sono rimasti le anime pure che erano ancora prima di debuttare, che non si sono mai montati la testa (e quanto se lo potrebbero permettere), che non hanno mai perso la passione che li ha motivati sin dall’inizio del loro percorso.
Sette artisti completi che scrivono testi, compongono musica, cantano, ballano, recitano in maniera ineccepibile. Ogni canzone è una interpretazione artistica piena di simbolismo che arriva dritta al cuore. Ti portano a riflettere ma ti fanno anche ridere di gusto.
Mi hanno accolta in un luogo piena di emozioni, dove trovo quello che mi serve a secondo del mio stato d’animo.
Sembra retorica, vero? Eppure, la mia è solo una delle migliaia di testimonianze del fenomeno culturale e sociale chiamato BTS.

In arte RM, Jin, J-hope, Suga, jimin, V e Jungkook: Bangtan Sonyeodan, ossia BTS, i ragazzi “a prova di proiettili”.
Nascono per “bloccare stereotipi, critiche e aspettative che mirano agli adolescenti come proiettili”, ma vanno ben oltre, perché la loro storia e i loro messaggi sono riusciti a ispirare milioni di persone di ogni età, abbattendo barriere culturali, linguistiche e razziali nel nome della solidarietà.
Questo è ciò a cui mi riferisco, questo è quello che mi è successo. Riconnettere con valori che sembrano scontati ma non lo sono, ri-vivere emozioni che vanno al di là dell’esperienza personale, abbracciando una galassia di essere umani.

Music Magic Shop, or that safe haven where music indulges all visitors with comfort and solace, and three simple words encompass an enthusiastic universe in a treasure box.
I am talking about a journey through the path of the soul.

Most importantly, I am talking about an enchanting microcosmos where there is always someone who reaches out to you and where you are no longer alone.
This is what happened to me. I (re)found BTS when I needed it more, and they kept their promise to walk along with me in my quest for my inner peace.
Shall we go into the Music Magic Shop?
I have always been passionate about music but am no expert at it. To me, it has always been about inclination and emotional connection.
I love dance and choreographies of all kinds, and my age does not stop me from throwing myself onto any dance floor.
I am truly fascinated by any form of art, because I believe it is the ultimate expression of the sensibility of the human soul.
I am enraptured by symbolism because it challenges creativity and pushes beyond one’s limits.
I firmly believe in solidarity, compassion and empathy.
But what really got me into this emotional whirlpool was the tsunami that hit me some months ago and caused me immense pain, utter confusion and a thousand doubts about the meaning of commitment and sacrifice.
I staggered for a long time, looking for something to hold on to. Then, one evening, while listening to my usual playlist, something clicked. It was a song by a South Korean group I had been following for years. I would usually sing along with them, even without knowing the language, and I knew what every song meant. I love them because they are not just singers, but all-round artists. And isn’t it true that we are receptive only when we are ready? I probably was, that night.
This is how I (re) found BTS.

I felt I needed to understand more about the message behind these verses, so I started looking into everything I could find related to that song and ended up stepping into something almost surreal. Even though this did not really come as a surprise – everybody knows how unique BTS are in the music scene -, I wasn’t prepared for what I was discovering and would discover later.
“Seven ordinary guys from South Korea”. This is how they define themselves. Seven guys who started at the bottom of the industry and rose to heights no one could have imagined.
Seven guys who are today the same pure souls they were before their debut, who never thought too high of themselves despite the massive success they achieved, and who, most importantly, never lost the passion that has inspired them since the beginning of their journey.
Seven accomplished artists who write lyrics, compose music, sing, dance and act impeccably. Every song is a deep immersion into art and symbolism and speaks straight to the heart. They invite you to reflect, they want to bring the smile to your face.
I have been hooked within an emotional spiral where I am able to find exactly what I need, depending on my mood.
It might sound a bit cliché, but it just isn’t. I am only one of the thousands stories that unfold around the cultural and social wave known as BTS.

They wanted to “block stereotypes, criticism, and expectations that target teenagers like bullets”, but they went far beyond that. Their story and their messages have inspired millions of people of all ages and broken down cultural, language and race barriers in the name of solidarity.
This is what I mean, this is what happened to me. I re-connected with values that we often take for granted but are not, learnt how to re-live emotions that go beyond the personal sphere and embraces a galaxy of human beings.
